Erick, Oklahoma – August 24, 2016 – Badger Mining Corporation’s (BMC) recently-opened Erick, Oklahoma transload facility received its first unit train of sand today. The shipment adds to product already at the wholly owned and operated site, which primarily serves the Anadarko Basin. The transload facility can accommodate up to 160 railcars of product on its 3,200 feet of side rail and 7,400 feet of working track, and is situated at the end of the Farmrail shortline railroad outside of Erick.
“The additional material, and simple fact that our facility is unit train capable, will expand our product offerings out of Erick,” says Adam Katz, vice president of sales and marketing at BMC. “The mixture of those increased offerings with the transload’s size and location within the Anadarko Basin continues to add value to our customers in western Oklahoma and northern Texas.”
